Strong for Sports: fit20 Strength Training as an Essential Foundation

fit20 complements sports with targeted strength training

Many active people over 40 exercise regularly, yet they do not necessarily think of strength training as something relevant to them. This is exactly where fit20 comes in: with a clearly structured strength training programme that does not replace running, tennis, cycling or hiking, but complements these activities in a meaningful way. fit20 members choose the training to help them continue enjoying their favourite sport or simply make everyday life easier and often less painful.

For the development of fit20 in Germany and Austria, this positioning is particularly relevant. The concept is aimed not only at people who already use traditional fitness and training services, but also at recreational athletes, working professionals and people returning to exercise who are looking for a practical addition to their active lifestyle. For StarDev, this is an important approach to the sustainable expansion of the network.

What makes fit20 different

fit20 focuses on one intensive strength training session of around 20 minutes per week. Training takes place on specialised equipment in a quiet, temperature-controlled studio and always under the personal supervision of a Personal Trainer. The process is clearly structured, while additional organisational hurdles are deliberately kept to a minimum.

This model fits particularly well into the everyday lives of people over 40. Those who are already active usually do not want to add further lengthy training sessions to their schedule, but instead want to complement their existing activities in a targeted way. fit20 provides a fixed framework for this and introduces a different training stimulus from that of their favourite sport.

Internationally, fit20 is already represented by more than 160 studios in 14 countries. The studio model itself is also designed for efficiency: a location typically requires only around 60 to 90 square metres. The focus is on personal supervision, scheduled appointments and a training programme that remains straightforward and accessible.

As Development Partner, StarDev supports the expansion of fit20 in Germany and Austria, from recruiting new franchise partners and selecting suitable locations to assisting with setup, opening and onboarding. This approach creates locations designed for long-term viability and aligned with the positioning of the brand.

Franchising with fit20

fit20 appeals to a target group that wants to remain active and sees strength training as a functional part of a healthy lifestyle. Further information about the concept is available at stardev.se/fit20.
