fit20 Discovery Day in Dortmund: A First-Hand Look at Day-to-Day Studio Operations
What does the day-to-day operation of a successful fit20 studio look like? What responsibilities does a franchise partner take on, and what does it really take to establish and manage a successful location?
On Saturday, 10 October 2026, StarDev will host a fit20 Discovery Day in Dortmund. Prospective franchise partners will have the opportunity to explore the franchise system where it is put into practice every day: at an established studio with around 200 members.
An Established Studio as a Real-Life Example
The Discovery Day will take place at Manuela Dziabel’s fit20 studio in Dortmund-Kirchhörde. The studio has been established for many years and enjoys an excellent reputation among its members.
Manuela is an experienced sports therapist with many years of expertise in rehabilitation and prevention. As a fit20 franchise partner, she combines this professional background with first-hand experience of establishing and managing her own studio.
Experience the Training First-Hand
At the heart of fit20 is an intensive, personally supervised strength-training session lasting just 20 minutes per week. Training takes place by appointment and always under the guidance of a certified trainer.
During the Discovery Day, participants will be able to experience the training for themselves and gain a direct impression of the process, the personal support and the distinctive atmosphere of a fit20 studio.
First-Hand Insights into Life as a Franchise Partner
In addition to Manuela Dziabel, other existing fit20 franchise partners will also attend the Discovery Day. This will give participants the opportunity to hear different perspectives and discuss specific questions directly with people who already operate within the franchise system.
Topics will include:
the day-to-day organisation of a studio
training and appointment scheduling
local marketing and member acquisition
recruitment and team leadership
commercial and financial considerations
cooperation within the franchise system
This personal exchange provides insights that cannot be fully conveyed through documents, telephone conversations or video calls alone. Participants will experience the concept at an operating studio and hear first-hand what being a fit20 franchise partner is really like.
